How it works

Four things, in order.

Drive My Path is a preparation tool for a manager. It asks for a few minutes around each 1:1 and gives back the one thing memory cannot: what you owe the person in front of you, before you walk in.

  1. Step 1 · Free, up to 4 active teammates · Solo, unlimited

    Add the people you manage

A name is enough to start. Their role, when they started, how they like to get feedback and the names of the people in their life can come later, and the brief gets sharper as you add them.

Nothing here is a rating of anyone. It is the context you would want in your head before the meeting, kept where you can find it.

  2. Step 2 · Free

    Keep one workspace per 1:1

Each 1:1 has a shared agenda you both add to (your team member gets their own page, by link, with no account), working notes that are visible only to you inside Drive My Path, and action items with an owner and a due date. What was not closed carries over to the next one.

Connect Google Calendar and the 1:1s you already hold import themselves; schedule one here and it lands on your calendar with an invite. Agenda templates cover the first 1:1, the career conversation, the one after something went wrong, and more.

  3. Step 3 · Solo

    Walk in already knowing

Before each meeting the pre-1:1 brief lays out what you promised and have not done, what they raised that never got closed, and what is going on in their life this week. It arrives on the page and by email.

The brief is built from your own record by plain rules, not generated by a model, so it costs nothing per meeting and can never invent a promise you did not make.

  4. Step 4 · Solo

Roll it up for your own manager

One click assembles the week, month or quarter: 1:1s held, goal progress, wins, risks, and what you are doing to help each person. Copy it or download it as Markdown; an AI-polished version is optional.

Review prep works the same way at year end. It assembles the year from what you already recorded, as a draft you copy into your employer's system, with no score attached to anyone.

Between meetings

The thread does not drop when the meeting ends.

Most of managing happens in the corridor, not the calendar. These are the parts that hold the thread between one 1:1 and the next.

  • Quick capture (every plan)

One line, from anywhere in the app: praise you want to pass on, a detail worth remembering, or a commitment you just made. A commitment is always yours to keep, never assigned to the report.

  • Search (every plan)

One search across every note, agenda, action item and goal. Free on every plan, because a record you cannot search is a drawer you never open.

  • The management mirror (Solo)

Where your attention actually goes across the team: who you keep rhythm with, whose commitments you close, who you have not recognised lately. It measures the manager, never the report, and it is private to you.

  • The reminder emails (Solo)

A short note each morning with what you said you would do today, a Friday close, and a Monday mirror when there is something worth saying. Each can be switched off in Settings.

What it refuses to be

A preparation tool, not a system of record.

Drive My Path is a preparation tool for a manager, not the employer's system of record. What it produces is a draft the manager copies into whatever system their employer actually uses.

It holds no ratings, rankings or scores of anyone and makes no automated decision about a person. Recording needs the recorded person’s own agreement, from their own inbox. The reasoning is on the about page, and the controls are on the security page.
